Weeds or Wild Flowers ..

I'm into white flowers at the moment - I'll tell you more about it in my next post.  This post if for 'I HEART MACRO' and this morning, across the lane from my house, I spotted this in all its glory.
About 4ft or more tall, my Wild Flower Book tells me it is of the umbellifer family, and could be a Hogweed, or a Hemlock ......
Right next to it was this one still in bud and as it is pink I like the name Wild Angelica much better!!
This weed we all know, but the flower is so pretty don't you think?  It would look lovely in with some garden flowers, sll that fluffiness, if only it didn't bite!!
Click on the "I Heart Macro" Button opposite, to see what the others are up to.
Till next time .....

There are so many beautiful weeds/wild flowers Val, and I do like what you have done with yours. I love the 'cow parsley' type plants and the humble nettle was regarded as a sacred herb by the Anglo-Saxons.

sometimes weeds are just as beautiful as flowers we choose to grow...whether they flower or are just a bit of greenery....

Weeds are just Mother Nature's garden. She is not locked into tiny parcels like we are! There are so many beautiful "weeds".

When we stop to really look at nature's bounty, there is beauty to be found in the most humble plant. Love the pics, Val.

I agree with everyone else about the beauty of weeds. I just wish the pretty ones grew in my yard! They are lovely pictures, Val.

Thank you for the idea for the thread. Making a piece of fabric out of them is a fabulous idea!

The first picture is of hogweed Val. The flowers are very distinctive with the outer petals on each umbel being larger than the rest, like minioature fish tails. It also has much broader leaves than hemlock. A nice picture!
